After a fulfilling professional career, Lesly is actively involved in numerous development camps catered to young aspiring basketball players, both regionally and internationally. Over the years, he has been offering individual training to professional and international players and to training center residents.
In the dynamic world of sports and sustainable development, certain individuals stand out for their unique approach and vision. One such person is Marvin, a former semi-professional basketball player, now a respected leader in the field of sustainable development. His journey from the basketball courts of France and the Caribbean to the conference rooms of Kréyol Sports International is truly inspirational.
Marvin, with his extensive experience as a consultant in sustainable development in the Francophonie of the Americas, is spearheading a unique venture at Kréyol Sports International. His vision extends beyond geographical boundaries, aiming to unite Creole-speaking nations through the love of sports.
For Marvin, Creole identity is not limited to geographical boundaries. His vision for Kréyol Sports International seeks to create a global community that thrives on sportsmanship and shared cultural heritage, by bringing together Creole-speaking nations through basketball, soccer, volleyball and more.
According to Marvin, Creole identity transcends borders. He believes that Kréyol Sports International's program will serve as a crucial step in establishing a basketball cooperation uniting Creole-speaking nations worldwide. With its focus on youth development, local economy, culture, education, entertainment, and tourism, Kréyol Sports International aims to be a catalyst for sustainable development in the Caribbean, promoting growth and collaboration across the region.
With the upcoming Championships, camps, and elite program, Marvin sees an opportunity for local, regional, and international basketball, soccer, volleyball players to showcase their skills and talent, thereby restoring sport to its former prominence in Dominica and the entire region.
Marvin's dedication extends to finding partnerships, sponsorships, and fundraising opportunities both regionally and internationally. His key mission is to develop projects centered on sustainable sport development and tourism in the Caribbean for all generations.
Meet Jerry Williams, the administrative powerhouse behind Kréyol Sports International's (KSI) success. With his impressive leadership skills, he manages all administrative functions and provides essential support for bookkeeping, board management, special events, and philanthropic activities.
Jerry's role goes beyond just administration. He is the driving force behind KSI's sustained growth, leading customer-led participation projects not only in Dominica but across the entire Caribbean and internationally. His clear vision and defined outcomes have made him an indispensable part of the team.
Working closely with Marvin Jno-Baptiste, Dunstan Peters and Lesly Bengaber, Jerry contributes to the strategic management of key projects. These include the Kréyol Basketball Championship, Camps, Da Next Level Elite Program, satellite clubs, cultural cooperation, the Assist Fund, volunteer awards, and other KSI's development initiatives.
In addition to these responsibilities, Jerry also oversees the deployment of tutors and the recruitment and accreditation of delivery partners and activators. His goal is to ensure continued growth. He uses customer insights gathered from working with partners to understand participants, coaches and other key factors that contribute to the success of our projects, ultimately driving a sustainable programme model.
For the past decade, one name has been synonymous with the growth and development of basketball in Dominica - Dunstan "Maggie" Peters. A social activist at heart, Peters has dedicated his life to serving the youth and nurturing their talents through the sport of basketball. and football His commitment and passion have been instrumental in shaping the landscape of the sport in the country.
Peters is not just a social activist; he's a key player in Basketball Dominica's development programme, notably through his well-known academy 767 Sports Club. As the former President of the Dominica Amateur Basketball Association, he occupies a senior position within Kréyol Sports International. Here, he is responsible for increasing participation, working with national and regional strategic partners to support growth through successful delivery of all related projects and events.
But Peters is much more than a figure in the boardroom. He is a recognizable and respected figure on the ground, known for providing technical expertise to support clubs and communities with the development of recreational basketball and soccer events. Maggie is the man on the ground, delivering frequent key messages and ongoing communications with all internal and external partners. His ability to think creatively and actively seek out opportunities to raise profile and generate positive new stories has made him an icon for the youth in Dominica.
At the tender age of 4, Lesly embarked on his basketball journey in Guadeloupe. His initial training was with the Ban-é-Lot club before he advanced to the espoir pole and earned a spot in the Guadeloupe national team. He made it to his club's senior team when he was just 15 years old.
Lesly's professional journey in basketball began in France when he was 18 years old in N1. His skills didn't go unnoticed, and he was swiftly recruited by AS Bondy, a Pro B team. Throughout his career, Lesly had the privilege of playing for Nancy clubs in Pro A, participating in the Euroleague and the Semaine des As.
He held the esteemed position of captain of the Sharks d'Antibes in pro B and pro A for eight years, even earning the title of pro B champion in 2013. Lesly's career saw him playing at the top tiers of Pro A, Pro B, and N1 championships with teams like JL Bourg, Stade Clermontois, Évreux, Challans, and many more.
After a fulfilling professional career, Lesly returned to Guadeloupe to give back to his training club. His efforts led to them becoming Champion of Guadeloupe in 2018 as a player, and twice as a coach with the U15 and U13. Imparting his knowledge and passion for the game has always been a priority for him. Even as a professional player, Lesly took the time to mentor the youth categories of the clubs he was part of.

During his downtime, Lesly is actively involved in numerous development camps catered to young aspiring basketball players, both nationally and internationally. Over the years, he has been offering individual training to professional and international players and to training center residents. Now residing in Florida, it was a natural progression for him to officially become a part of the Da NextLevel team and Kréyol Sports International, where he continues to share his experience with young West Indian and Dominican basketball players eager to enhance their skills.
